Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Colleen Cackett

Our darling daughter, Colleen, passed away peacefully in her sleep.

She is loved and will be greatly missed by her Dad (Bill), Mom (Connie), Brother (Collin), Grandmas (Anne and Helen), aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and all their children, and her students.

Colleen attended Edmonton Catholic Schools from K to 12 and graduated from the U of A, Faculty of Education. Colleen loved teaching for Edmonton Catholic Schools and was currently at St. Augustine. She was a devoted teacher and was well loved by her colleagues and students for her dedication and commitment. She gave her time freely and generously to others and was the first to volunteer to share her gifts. She loved sewing, hosting extravagant get-togethers for family and friends, honing her culinary talents, studying new recipes, and planning packed itineraries on vacations. Colleen loved swimming and snorkeling. She travelled extensively, but Hawaii was her favorite. Colleen brought everyone together and was happy to be present; her love for life enriched the lives of those around her and she will be forever missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at St. Thomas More, 210 Haddow Close followed by a Celebration of Colleen’s Life at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club 3500 119 Street NW.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Colleen’s name can be made through CanadaHelps.org to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

In Loving Memory of
Colleen Cackett
