It is with deep sorrow that the family of Kelly Patrick Dussault shares he passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 with his wife, Barbara, holding his hand. Kelly was diagnosed in February 2018 with Glioblastoma Multiforme. He was only 52 years old.

Kelly is lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate, Barbara and their two children, Alexander Dussault (Sara Dziarmaga) and Elizabeth Ackles (Ben Cook); mother, Doreen Fraser; sister, Denise (Gerald) Glubish and brother, Darrell (Milinda) Dussault; parents-in-law, Lenore and Byron Fester; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lee and Teresa (James) Seath as well as brother-in-law, Alan (Nicole) Fester; his nieces and nephews, Shane and Desiree Dussault, Danielle and Michael Glubish, Chrstopher and Talon Lee, Mya and Erin Fester, and his great nephew Oliver Dussault.

Kelly was predeceased by his father, Gerard Dussault, brother, Harvey Dussault, and brother-in-law, Blaine Lee.

Kelly was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan and his family settled in Spruce Grove, Alberta when he was 2 years old. As a young man, Kelly joined the 755 Parkland Royal Canadian Air Cadets and was awarded a scholarship to obtain his pilotís licence; his first love was aviation! He met Barbara in junior high and they became high school sweethearts while attending Spruce Grove Composite High School; his second and enduring love and passion. They were together for almost 36 years and would have been married for 28 years this August (2018). Kelly attended postsecondary at MacEwan University where he studied Insurance Administration. He also served with the Canadian Forces Reserves. For many years, Kelly was a stay-at-home father, raising his two children including home schooling each of them for a time. In addition to caring for his family, he, together with Barbara, created a home where friends and family were always welcome! In more recent years, he was also the primary caregiver for both of his parents; occasionally supporting Barbaraís parents as well.

Kellyís life was epitomized by service and hospitality. In addition to working in the control centre for a national cable company, he volunteered in his community as President for his condominium association for almost 15 years as well as on school parent councils. He and his wife, Barbara volunteered as facilitators, teaching Marriage Preparation to hundreds of couples over 20+ years.

Kelly truly was a renaissance man! He had much expertise and many interests, including all things aviation, military, and cars as well as history. He loved to dance with Barbara, including pop, ballroom and Regency Dance; he had also recently taken up tap dancing. Kelly was very creative and loved renovating and creating beautiful spaces for his home inside and out. He especially loved the outdoors; whether working or relaxing. Kelly enjoyed target shooting with old military rifles, taking out the raft or kayak for an afternoon of paddling, going for walks with Barbara and hunting wild boar. Kelly loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining; he and Barbara often gathered people at their home to share food, conversation and laughter. He was an exceptionally hard worker and helped all who asked! Kelly could converse with anyone and was loved by everyone; he was an authentically kind gentleman who was always smiling and loved to laugh and play! Kelly was also a very strong and determined man. During the last 20 years, Kelly lived with psoriatic arthritis and illness; yet despite this, he persistently worked to make a better life for himself and Barbara, their family and community.
