Obituary

Logan William Hunter was born in Drayton Valley, Alberta on November 9, 1999 and passed away tragically at the age of 18 while travelling with his Humboldt Broncos Family on April 6, 2018.

Logan grew up enjoying all sports. His passion was hockey, soccer, golf and ball hockey. Logan loved hanging out with his friends, family and had the patience to talk with everyone. Hunts loved animals and their family dog, Charlie, was his best friend. His big smile and little smirk will be remembered by all. He respected his coaches, teammates and lived his dream to play Junior A Hockey. His lifelong dream was achieved when the scout for the Humboldt Broncos signed him based on his outstanding ability and character. Logan liked a good joke, teasing his older sisters and younger billet sisters. He was competitive in everything he played especially Settlers of Catan and was good with numbers. His passion of sports was enriched at the St. Albert Sports Academy and Logan graduated from St. Albert High School in June of 2017.

Logan is survived by his loving family, mother, Shauna Nordstrom; father, Lawrence Hunter and wife, Ginny; siblings, Shaylyn and Shelby; step siblings, Katie, Sara, & Kirk Miles; grandparents, Conrad & Shirley Nordstrom of North Star, Alberta, Edna Hunter of Manning, Alberta, aunts & uncles, Bryce & Shelley Asmussen, Dan & Kari Hunter, Tracey & Dave Black as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by grandpa, Bill Hunter.

A special Thank You to all of the first responders on the scene, the community of Humboldt, and the Broncos organization for all of their support during this time.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to STARS Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 8M7 or online at www.stars.ca.
