Obituary
David Ray Geddes-Francis “Dave”, 41 years of Edmonton, AB passed away suddenly on April 4, 2018 at the University of Alberta Hospital.
David was born to Donald Ray Francis of Digby/Halifax and Terry Geddes (Francis) of Milford/Halifax/Edmonton on December 11, 1976. He went to school in Halifax and Edmonton and graduated from Harry Ainlay Secondary. He attended both the University of Alberta and St. Mary’s, studying Sports Medicine. He later attended Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and completed the Electrician Red Seal Certificate (Journeyman papers).
Dave enjoyed playing and coaching football in Edmonton, Halifax, Toronto and Michigan.
He is survived by his partner, Holly Boyd-Knowles; daughter, Kenzy; parents, Donald Francis and Terry Geddes; aunts, Annie Archibald of Brookfield, Elizabeth Russell of Shubenacadie and Wanda Geddes of Edmonton; as well as many cousins from coast to coast.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street NW, Edmonton.
Dave’s family wishes to extend their gratitude and thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and other Medical and EMS Staff in both the Emergency and Critical Care Units of the University of Alberta Hospital. The kindness and care was well beyond expectation during his short stay.
