Luke Abma



It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful baby boy, Luke Christopher Abma, on January 10, 2018.

Luke will be remembered by his parents, Brad & Tara; brother, Zachary; paternal grandparents, Stan & Karen Abma; maternal grandparents, Christopher & Bernadette Whelehan; paternal great-grandparents, John & Hilda Abma & John McDonald; aunts and uncles, Shannon (Geoff) Aalders, Melanie (Anthony) Romanchuk, Colleen (Lino) Whelehan, Siobhan (Robert) Murphy, and Tammy (Ryan) Willmer; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal great-grandma, Joan McDonald; maternal great grandparents, Patrick & Maureen Whelehan, and Dennis & Margaret Leahy.

A special thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and staff at the Stollery Children's Hospital NICU for their special care of Luke, especially to Luke's primary team who provided such comfort and support during Luke's stay.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Luke at 11 am on January 18, 2018 at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Luke may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital or The Madden DeLuca Foundation.

Our time with you was short, but you will be remembered in our hearts forever. Rest our sweet boy, we will meet again.
