Ron is survived by his brother Richard Assaly (Betty), son Dan (Jessica), grandchildren Lauren and Mitch, daughter Lisa (John) as well as his long-time friend Donna Saurette and her family Patrick, Doris, Matthew and Ali and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth Assaly; his wife of 41 years Elaine (Shaw), brothers Albert (Dorothy), Arthur and his sister Frances Haddad (William).

Ron was a very successful, well-respected businessman. Ron was an Edmonton Eskimo football fan who supported the sport and was a long-standing season ticket holder since 1949, Shareholder, Director, as well as an Eskimo Alumni Association member. Everyone attached to these organizations always enjoyed his company at the many events he attended. The smile on his face, along with the positive demeanour he carried wherever he went, will forever be remembered by us all.
