Obituary

Phil passed away peacefully on December 12, 2015, at the Kipnes Centre in Edmonton.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Heather (John) Paquette, Brenda Heffernan (Don Scott), Craig (Kim) Lindquist; grandchildren, Cathy (Sean), Greg (Charlotte), James (Nadine), Tom (Heather), Alec (Alex), Jana (Justin) and Jered (Sarah); great-grandsons, Michael, Seth, Gage and Jake; sister, Doreen (Rob) Parker; sisters-in-law, Irene Lindquist, Dodie Anderson, Julia Himmelreich and Dorinda (Bert) Stonehouse; brothers-in-law, Dick Hammer and Harvey (Glenda) Anderson.

Philip grew up working on a farm before becoming an airplane mechanic with the Air Force during World War II. When the war ended he worked for Alberta Pacific Grain before joining the Canadian Wheat Board.

Philip will always be remembered for his jokes and love of life. He will be missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Kipnes Centre for the wonderful care he received.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
