Obituary

Peacefully, in the presence of family, John Maroney of Slave Lake passed away on Monday October 19, 2015 at the age of 85 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Patricia; daughter, Debi (Lionel) Durocher; sons: Kelly and Bernie; grandchildren: Matt, Nicole, Emilie, Sam, Ellen, and Hyatt; sister, Sheila Berke; brothers: Pat, Gordon, Carney, Mike, Craig, and Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents: James in 1966, and Gwendoline in 1993; and his daughter, Marianne in 1995.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Peter Celestin Catholic Church, 200 - 3rd Avenue NW, Slave Lake, Alberta.

Memorial Donations may be made in Johnís name to Roots of Change Foundation, P.O. Box 92, St. Albert, Alberta T8N 1N2 or Soeurs de Sainte-Crois, 905 Rue Basil-Moreau, St. Laurente, PQ H4L 4A1, for their missions in Haiti.
