Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Michelle C. M. Goulet

Meco, during her 44 years with us, leaves a huge treasure chest of beautiful memories and a many unpaid speeding tickets. She was a true free spirit and you could say “She beat to her own drum”. You can’t help but smile when you think of her because all you hear is this hearty laughter that could be heard amongst the loudest crowds. In the end the score was 2-1 cancer. It was a sight to see, to see her take on this devitalizing challenge with insurmountable strength and determination inspiring those she met on her journey. Only a few understood her trials but for most people, it seemed like business as usual. We knew that when we had to pick her car up from the hospital that it wasn’t good, but you wouldn’t know it because she just smiled the whole time and said “Suck it up”.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents: Leon and Cecile Schayes; siblings: Philippe (Marie), Sylvia (Shayne) Massner, and Louise (Dwight) Van Brabant; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and her loving four legged boys: Tony and Carlo.

At Michelle’s request, there will be no formal service. Honor her by paying forward a kind gesture to others. Cremation will take place at the family’s convenience, and her ashes will be laid at Clover Point, Victoria, BC.

Memorial Donations in Michelle’s name may be made to Inspire Health, 123, 565 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 8R4 or at www.inspirehealth.ca
