Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

William Samuel Alton

Peacefully on Monday May 18, 2015 Bill passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Left to remember him and celebrate a life well-lived are his wife Connie; son Christopher; daughter Adrienne (Steve Figliuzzi); brother Bert (Linda); brother-in-law Richard Murray (Kim Allen); sister-in-law Virginia Burnett (Jim Elliott); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father William; mother Muriel; and sister Karen.

Bill grew up on a farm outside Austin, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where he attended the University of Winnipeg. He later moved to Edmonton and eventually settled in St. Albert. Bill worked as a musician and a carpenter, and was very proud of the work he did with, and for, the Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers.

Bill was an archaeologist, musician, singer, songwriter, carpenter and a great debater. He took an avid interest in politics and loved to travel, especially on a good road trip. His intelligence, compassion and beautiful voice will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will join in a celebration of Billís life at a future date. The family is arranging to dedicate a bench in his memory at Buena Vista dog park in Edmonton. If you would like to contribute to this memorial, please contact the family.

In Loving Memory of
William Samuel Alton
