Obituary

After a lengthy illness, with the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Patti, by his side. Stu is also survived by his sons: Scott (Josie) and Grant; daughter, Tammy (Richard) Engelman, grandchildren: Michelina, Kyle, Taylor, Carly, Tim, Jason and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Rylee, Sydney, Tessa, Lily and Liam.

Stu was born in Toronto and together with Patti and the kids, moved to Winnipeg in 1973 after a job promotion. Thatís when Stu and Patti became devoted Blue Bomber and Blue Jay fans. In 1985, Stu was once again promoted and he and Patti moved to St. Albert, Alberta, where there home is still today. Stu had a very successful sales career, being the Presidentís Club Winner for Camco as Top Sales Manager in 1983, 1984, and 1987. Stu lived by the credo that his word was his bond and a handshake was a signed contract. He was a kind and considerate man who was positive. One of his favorite sayings being ďDonít greet the Devil good morning before you open the doorĒ. His fondest memory was of his dad, who was an Inspector with the Toronto Police Force, leading the Santa Claus Parade on horseback every year. Stu believed that youíre never too old to learn and to treat others the way you would want to be treated. He had a great sense of humor that always made family gatherings so enjoyable and memorable. Stu and Patti loved their home in St. Albert and their favorite golf course, Stony Plain, where they were members for 29 years. Both he and Patti loved bowling and Stu won many trophies as an accomplished 5 and 10 pin bowler. Stu was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend who was well liked by all who he came in contact with.
