Madeleine Got



It is with sincere regret that Therese Lebel announces the passing of her beloved sister Madeleine on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Aged 98 years, she died in peace surrounded by loving family and caregivers.

She leaves behind her nieces, Suzanne Croteau, Louise Higham, Margo Lebel, Louise Sheeran and Simone Schroeder; her nephews, Pierre Lebel and Charles Lebel. Madeleine was predeceased by her parents, Annette and C.E. Barry; her husband Wilfred Got; her sister Charlotte Côté; and her nephews, Charles Côté and Robert Lebel.

Madeleine was a prominent member of the Edmonton Francophone community and parishioner of St. Joachim's church. She was a much loved and forever fun-loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a constant stand-by mother's aid, coach and generous caregiver to her family and friends.

The family is most grateful for the compassionate care given at the Edmonton General Hospital Long- Term Care Unit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joachim Church, 9928-110 Street on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery 10504 117 Ave NW, Edmonton

Friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the Edmonton General Hospital Long Term Care Unit, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5K 0L4.
