Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Sandy Milligan announce his peaceful passing. Beloved husband of Jean; father of John (Sharon) Milligan and Marian Johnson; grandfather to Dr. Scott (Franziska) Milligan/Satzinger, Kate (Drew) Lorimer, Lindsey (Jordan) Heerema, Matt Johnson and Amanda Johnson. Step father to Lynn (George) Corbin, Doug (Debbie) Cameron, Betty (Kim) Heeks, Norm (Shauna) Cameron and Dawna Lemoignan and their families, and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doreen, in 1987; his parents, and his brother, John.

During his lifetime Sandy enjoyed a variety of sports including tennis, baseball, curling and golf. Although retired for over 30 years, he was the Chief Provincial Plumbing Inspector, a position previously held by his father. Throughout his life he was actively involved in the Masonic Order and the Shriners. In 2011 he received his 50 year anniversary pin in recognition of serving as Past Worshipful Master of Saskatchewan Lodge #92.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation, 10318 100 Avenue NW, Edmonton AB, T5J 0A2 or to the charity of your choice.
