Charles 'Chet' Fredericks

Charles Chester Fredericks was born in Wynyard, SK on September 26, 1930. When he left home, he worked along the Alaska Highway arriving in Whitehorse where he became a plumber and later on a fire fighter. During his early years with the fire department, he met Dorothy Lafleur and they were married on May 28, 1955. Plumbing was his profession for many years until they moved to Onoway where their two daughters, Janyce and Lynn were born. He worked for Building Products of Canada and retired in 1989 after serving for 26 years.

Chet was a very generous and loving man always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours. He enjoyed wood working in his retirement and many have enjoyed his wonderful handcrafted treasures over the years. Chet loved spending time with his two grandchildren.

Chet was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Fretha Fredericks; his brother Harley and his sister Marie.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy of 59 years; his daughter Janyce (Jean) Derenusson; Lynn (Roy) Brownridge; his grandson Ross (Keri) and his grand daughter Leah.

In Loving Memory of
