Obituary

Yvette Leduc (née Patenaude) passed away in Edmonton on July 5, 2014. Her long and dedicated career as a teacher in Francophone schools in Ontario and Alberta spanned over 30 years. Despite her diminutive frame, her dedication to her profession and her love of children and youth gave her an enviable stature in her community.

She is survived by her 3 children, daughters Lise (Jim), and Andrée (Lloyd) and son Denis (Jane); her grandchildren, Michael (Cheryl), David (Gloria), Lyette Adams (Denis Beaulieu), Gilles-Denis, David (Valérie), Alison (Morgan), and Charles (Alice); her great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Owen, Danielle, Julia and Matthew and their father Barkley, Damien, Marlow, Henri, Jackson, Phoebe, Russel and Evelyn. As the eldest of 13 children, she is also survived by her sister Claudette, and brothers Jacques (Elaine) and Gilles.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Dr. Lucien Leduc (1980) and Laurent Langlois (2006).

Throughout her life, in addition to her selfless devotion to her children, she was an inspiration and a guiding force for her extended family.

A private function for the celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Ottawa, with interment in Limoges, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the French Education Fund, c/o ACFA, 8627-91 Street, Bureau 30, Edmonton, AB, T6C 3N1.

In Loving Memory of
Yvette Leduc
(Maiden: Patenaude)
