Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Phyllis Mallet-Paret

It is with profound sadness that the Mallet-Paret family announces the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother, Phyllis Lorraine Mallet-Paret (nee Cope).

Phyllis was born in Brandon, Manitoba, and spent her youth in Kelowna and most of her adult life in Edmonton. She married J.C. Douglas Mallet-Paret on August 24, 1949, and together they raised four sons.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas; her sons John (Jeffrey Lea), Louis (Donna), and Roger (Rhonda); grandchildren, Mark (Allison), Megan Beaulieu (Justin), Julie (Jeremy Nickurak), Carissa, and Eric; and one great-grandchild, Miles. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen; parents, John and Harriet Cope; and her sister, Shirely Cameron.

Phyllis enjoyed reading, classical music, British television, and drinking a good martini now and then. Most especially, she enjoyed good conversation and good times with members of her extended family and friends. She will be remembered fondly by all of them.

We thank the members of Unit 9Y Palliative Care at the Edmonton General Hospital for their kindness and care during her brief illness.

Cremation has taken place, and at Phyllis’ request there will be no public ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

In Loving Memory of
Phyllis Mallet-Paret
(Maiden: Cope)
