Ryan John Macdonald

Obituary

With insurmountable courage, strength and dignity, Ryan succumbed to his two year battle with illness at the U of A Hospital on the morning of January 3, 2014.

Ryan will be remembered and greatly missed by his many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, especially his “second Mom”, aunt Lynda Heron, who cared for Ryan during his extensive illness. Ryan’s courage and strength were also challenged by the recent passings of both his parents, Ronald & Myra.

Ryan was affectionately called “Perkins” by his dear friends. He will be lovingly remembered as “Uncle Perkins” by the Miller family, Mike, Marcia, Tyson and Sadie, and the Litke family, Trent, Katherine, Austin and Brandon. Ryan’s absence will be significantly felt as they enjoyed many camping trips, hockey games and Christmas’ together.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200- 325 Manning Rd NE Calgary, T2E 9Z9 or the Grey Nuns, c/o Caritas Foundation 3C60 - 11111 Jasper Ave Edmonton, T5K 0L4.

“True strength is keeping everything together
when everyone would understand if you fell apart.”

In Loving Memory of
Ryan John Macdonald
