Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Joseph Desjarlais

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Joseph “Paul” Desjarlais on December 20th, 2013.

Paul was a very private man who enjoyed the finer things in life, his home, his family, friends and neighbours. Paul never forgot where he came from and always looked forward to going back home to the valley with his brother Tom whom he loved dearly and was close to his heart. Paul was a talented musician and a seasoned guitar player who enjoyed get togethers jamming with friends and family. In the early years, he joined Local 118 Heat and Frost Insulators in Vancouver and later with Local 110 in Alberta where he worked until present. His quick wit, sense of humour, his generosity and big heart will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Paul worked at Syncrude in Fort McMurray since 2002 and will be sadly missed by his co-workers. Paul was predeceased by his parents Helen and Harry Desjarlais as well as six siblings. Paul is survived by his wife & partner of 32 years Mona (Sala); five step-children, Marc, Tim, Ted, Toby and Krista; ten step-grandchildren; Daughter Jeanette and Son Joe; their mother Barbara; five grandchildren; nine siblings; as well as many nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law Martha.

As per Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

RIP Paul. Your mere presence and charisma will always be in our memory…forever in our hearts.

In Loving Memory of
Joseph Desjarlais
