Born February 11, 1911 in Tarbrax, Scotland.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Agnes Fleming Michaud of Edmonton who left us on September 14th, 2013 at the age of 102 years, 7 months.

She is survived by her loving family: two sons and their wives, William (Thelma) of Victoria, B.C., and John (Wilma) of Edmonton, AB; she is loved by her six grandchildren, David Michaud (Linda) of Victoria, B.C., Laurie Thompson of Brisbane, Australia, Nicole Kopp (Gavin) of Fort McMurray, AB, Christina Michaud (Michael) of Stony Plain, AB, Karen Michaud and Richard Michaud, both of Edmonton, AB; great grandchildren, Sean, Sarah and Kelly Thompson, all of Brisbane, Australia and Amanda and Nicolle of Edmonton, AB; and sister Anne Potter of Lethbridge, AB.

She will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Agnes was predeceased by her devoted husband John (Sr.) in 1991; her son Robert in 2001; her loving parents, William in 1979 and Elizabeth Barclay in 2000; sisters, Elizabeth Potts in 2006 and Amy Zacharuk in 2012; and an infant sister Margaret in 1916.

Our mother was a quiet, gracious lady who cherished her time with family and lived a good life. She came to Canada from Scotland as an infant with her parents in 1912. They first settled in Bankhead, Alberta, then moved to Drumheller Valley two years later. It was here that she grew up while her father worked in the coal mining industry.

Agnes and her husband John (Sr.) lived in Edmonton all of their married lives.

We are especially grateful to her granddaughter Christina Michaud for the loving care and assistance she provided through momís later years.

Thanks to the many caring people at Meadowcroft Seniorís Residence where she lived for over 34 years and a special thank you to the Venta Care Center where the staff cared for mother with tender loving compassion to the end of her lifeís journey.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service in accordance with her wishes.

In Loving Memory of
Agnes Fleming Michaud
