Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Leonard Klein

On August 2nd, 2013, Mr. Len Klein of St. Albert died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91 years old. He is survived by his adoring wife of 62 wonderful years, Beatrice "Bette" Klein (nee Rodell). Len will be fondly remembered by his four sons Joel (Beverly), Stephen (Lina), Ian (Louise) and Jonathan (Sheila); his seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Born in London, England, Len joined the RAF as a young man and served as a pilot in World War II before immigrating to Canada in 1948. Soon after, he met his wife Bette and they were married in 1951. Len joined the RCAF in 1952. In 1959, after many years of moving with his family between various Canadian and British cities, Len took a position as an investigator with Transport Canada. Len and Bette settled in St. Albert, in 1972 where they have called home ever since. Len retired in 1982 and enjoyed many years of travel and golf.

Len will be remembered for his mischievous smile, his love of travel, adventure and story-telling, his tender heart and most of all, his devotion to his wife and family. At Lenís request, the family will be holding a private, informal celebration of life.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lo-Se-Ca Foundation 215-1 Carnegie Drive, St. Albert, Alberta T8N 5B1, or another suitable charity.

In Loving Memory of
