Rolland Deshaies

It is with great sadness and much love that his children announce the passing of Rolland (Rolly) Deshaies.

Rolly passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness at The Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. He was born to Albert and Marie in Val-dOr, Quebec, on July 7th, 1938. In his early years, he worked on the St. Lawrence Seaway as a mechanic. At the age of 18 he met the love of life, Mary, and they soon married in Toronto where he worked for GM. In 1966, the family moved to Wasaga Beach where they remained for several memorable years. In 1979, Rolly left Ontario for beautiful British Columbia. He loved the beauty of the wilderness of B.C.. In 2001, Rolly retired from his life long career as a mechanic and joined his daughter, Kimberley, in Edmonton. Despite his struggles, his children loved him until his death.

Rolly is survived by his children, Jacquelin, Linda, Kimberley, Marcel, Nancy, Mary, Rachelle, Pierre, their spouses and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rolande (Robbie), his brother, Roger and several nieces and nephews.

Our beloved Father, you are gone but not forgotten. Until we meet again.

In Loving Memory of
Rolland Deshaies
