Obituary

"My heart is in the Highlands"

Arrived August 29, 1938 Falkirk, Scotland Departed March 10, 2013 Edmonton, Canada

The journey from Falkirk to his final resting place was one full of life. He is remembered as generous, easy going with a good strong laugh. He was an avid reader and a passionate debater. He may not have been the most interesting man in the world, but he'd have thought he was a not too distant second. He will be remembered for his love of Scottish and Irish music.

He is survived by his children, David, Maureen (Trevor), Shauna (Todd) and grandchildren, Sydney, Max, Jayden and Ty, his sister, Anne, as well as the extended families of the Peters' (Ontario) and the Carrs'. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Katherine, and his infant daughter, Heather.

Please attend his 'ceili' of life with the appreciation of his family at St. Andrew's Church, 12810 - 111 Avenue, Edmonton at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 16, 2013. In honour of his Scottish heritage, the family would ask that you wear tartan/plaid. As well, memorial donations in Scotty's honour may be made directly to the Youth Empowerment & Support Services, 9310 - 82 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6C 0Z6. Condolences: www.connelly-mckinley.com

In Loving Memory of
