Andy and Pat Maslowski

Pat (nee Michaels) and Andy Maslowski died tragically, but together, on Saturday, September 15, 2012.

Pat and Andy had been on their own for a long time. Each was looking for someone, and they found each other. From that day on, they were inseparable. They enjoyed holidaying together, whether that was camping at a nearby lake or cruising to exotic countries. They loved to get together with family and friends for celebrations of all kinds, and could always be counted on to help out, bring food and gifts, and share in the fun.

Pat worked many years for the Alberta Government. Her last position was with Agriculture. She had been off work for many years due to depression and other illnesses, but was always active in many support groups and had made many friends along the way.

Andy worked for many years at the Southgate Good Samaritan Nursing Home. He was always interested in what was best for his charges, and interested in them as people.

They were kind and loving people and, as a couple, they had many friends. They leave to m

ourn them, their daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Sam Hay; Andy's parents, Alina and Chris Szaszkiewcz; Patís brothers and sister, Geoff and Shirleyanne Michaels, David Michaels and Jean Hudson, Cecil and Anne Michaels and Stephanie Michaels and John Johansen; Andy's brothers, Richard Maslowski and Mark and Eva Maslowski; stepbrothers and sisters, John and Helen, Andre and Anne, Marie and Orlando, Charles and Maryanne, Paul and Peggy and Helene and Ian; Pat's 16 great (and we mean that literally) nieces and nephews; Andy's numerous relatives in Canada and Poland; Pat's Aunt Trees in Holland and numerous cousins and their children in Holland and Vancouver.

Their closest friends, Linda, Kelly, Alissa and Jody will keep their memory alive for years to come. Their dog, Suzie and cat, Noodle are also trying to adjust to this horrific loss.

Reverend Jim Corrigan will celebrate a joint Funeral Mass at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Parish, 7508 - 29 Ave. Edmonton at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.

Donations in Andy and Patís memory may be made to the Mental Health Association of Alberta, 800 Harley Court, 10045 - 111 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5K 2M5.

In Loving Memory of
Andy and Pat Maslowski
