Our family helping your family since 1908 - Generations of Excellence

Patrick Morrison

Patrick John Morrison died on April 12, 2012 at the age of 54 years after a dignified battle with cancer. He met this challenge with strength, courage and ever present humour after being diagnosed Feb 5, 2008. He did not let the devastating diagnosis get in the way of living his life with his family. He relished each and every moment of his perfect life.

Left with a void in their lives is his wife Mary Jane and his daughter Emma. Emma was the light of her father's life and his reason for living. He is also survived by his siblings Doug (Bev) Morrison, Colleen McCarthy, Judy (Dennis) Abbott and Holly (Vic) Frank and many nieces, nephews, cousins - all who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his in-laws Sophie Skulski of Humboldt, Brian and Christine Skulski, Karen and Ali Siermachesky and Neil Skulski. He was predeceased by his sister Roberta (Milt) Grimson, mother Solange, father Hughes Morrison and father-in-law Nick Skulski.

Patrick was born in Emo, ON. He went to school in Rainy River and Thunder Bay, ON, and later relocated to Estevan, SK and Toronto, ON. In Estevan Patrick embarked on his electrical career and with his brother Doug started the Estevan Water Ski club. He was a great athlete and held bragging rights as the Saskatchewan Slalom Waterski champion. He also coached the 1980 Saskatchewan Summer Games Water Ski team. In the late 1980's Patrick initiated Estevan TV Bingo as a fundraiser for the Water ski club. Estevan TV Bingo is still in production today. Patrick was an entrepreneur and spent 7 years promoting and running a small business across Canada. Patrick also worked in the entertainment industry as a concert promoter and loved every aspect of the job. Patrick met everlasting friends throughout his career as an electrician. His final position as Production Manager at Auburn Rentals in Edmonton, AB was his dream job. He enjoyed every aspect of working at Auburn in particular, his co-workers. Patrick will forever be remembered for his gentle and caring nature. He saw the good in everyone and would give the shirt off his back to a person in need. Patrick will be missed so very much by his family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
