Condolences

Alan, Trish and Justin. It is difficult to find any words. Our family is one of thousands sending you our love and support. Lisa had the pleasure of going to school with Stephen from kindergarten to graduation. What we respected most about him was that we never heard him say a bad word about anyone ever and that he always supported Justin and never begrudged his older brother duty. Brian had the privilege of going to school with Justin from preschool to graduation. What a remarkable young man who taught us so much. Our family has been blessed knowing you and we are sending our love and hugs for your loss of such an incredible young man. May you feel the love and support of all of us and lean on us when you need.

Alan, Tricia and Justin - We wish to express our deepest condolences on the loss of your precious son and brother. What a fine young man he grew up to be - it has been so long since we seen him as a happy-go-lucky toddler. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless and may you find peace and joy again soon.

Alan (and Tricia), My heart goes out to the both of you. I cannot imagine what you are going through or how you truly feel. Hearing the news, it brought a flood of memories, Alan, of our friendship and time together growing up. Stephen was taken so young and definitely not fair. They say that things happen for a reason and that there will be something good of the worst things that do happen. I can't think of anything currently, but maybe that will come eventually. My son is 24 and has made me think of him and growing up. It's making me appreciate him growing up and treasure it more. Tricia, you and I were not really close in school but I do remember sitting beside you in classes and talking to you. I feel for you guys so much. Kevin Hedley

To the family of Stephen Wack. I didn't know your son, I didn't know you. But I am grieving with you today and everyday. I've tried to wrap my brain around this situation, and I always end up in the same place. Confused why this could happen. I want you to know that there is something precious about your son and my deepest sympathies to you and your family and all of Stephen's friends. I have seen bad things happen, accidents, but something about Stephen's picture has stayed in my head. Tears come to my eyes throughout the day when thinking of Stephen. His infectious smile and personality shines through. I can tell that a wonderful soul has been lost and how talented he was. You should be very proud :) In life, sometimes you meet people that touch your heart. Other times you don't get to meet the people that touch your heart. Stephen has touched mine and I hope that somehow you can get past this terrible tragedy together. Lots of love :)

Alan, Tricia and Justin It has been a long time since we traded houses in St, Albert and in this difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the families affected by the tragedy of 2 weeks ago. When I first heard of the accident my heart crashed as having traveled the highways in junior hockey it could have been any one of us. Sadly it was your son who paid the ultimate price but in reading the comments over the past days, it is clear that Stephen exhibited the values taught to him by all of you and that he was a fine young man. Words can never express how sad Bev and I are for your loss. Please remember he died doing what he loved and with the teammates he loved as well. Our sincerest condolences.

Dear Tricia & Alan, I haven't seen you since our Grad nearly 30 years ago. I have daughters the same ages as your boys, so when I heard the news of your beloved son, Stephen, my heart broke. Please know that you and your family are in the hearts and prayers of my family. In all I have read about Stephen in the last week, he was an amazing guy, you should be very proud.. it means he had great parents too. Praying you feel God's comfort and blessings around you both & Justin during this difficult time. Kind regards, Nicole Albrecht

Hi my name is Jackie, i am from Melfort and when Humboldt and Melfort were in the first round of playoffs, you sat across from us and the tall dark guy who is a friend of ours came and talked to you guys about your seeing eye dog for your son, then on the night that Humboldt beat Melfort, Alan and Tricia you sat right in front of us four and Tricia you talked about Stephen, how tall he was, and him getting a penalty and we teased a little back and forth every time Humboldt scored.😉 I remember how proud you all were of your son and we all have said we felt a special bond happened and then after the tragedy on April 6 th we are so heart broken for you guys and we wanted to somehow reach out to you, and let you know how much we are supporting you, and all the families and we are Humboldt strong with you ! Please know we are with you in thoughts and prayers, I have watched the videos of what Stephen has made and yes he is an amazing son and so is Justin as he is one proud brother. One day I hope we will meet again to just hug you all 💞 All our love, Howard and Jackie Marshall , Bert and Marilyn Wartman
