Hannah, we are so sad to hear of John's passing. It seems so unreal for this to have occurred. You and the kids are in our thoughts. Please ask if you need us for anything. Jane and Greg.

We sincerely and deeply are sorry for your loss. I always had a great respect for your brother John. He worked hard and was always very easy to talk to. He had a strong sense of fairness, common sense and respect for others. I remember we had so many good times at the lake, and some of my best memories are from our cards games at the cabin and learning to dive in the lake and stopping by your house for your mom's deserts. Those are special times to me and I am so sorry about the loss of your brother. More recently my sister Nancy, her husband and I would run into John down at the beach. That was about 30 years ago and time goes by quickly but it is so sad to hear about your brother who was taken too soon. God Bless and comfort you. Donna and Nancy from the lake.

John was a true gentleman and a fine lawyer. I got to know John while working on a file years ago. John was tough but fair and we resolved the litigation and stayed friends thereafter -which is how law should be practiced. He will be missed.

I knew John from law practice as and we once ended up on the same side of a file. We did some work on the file in a boardroom one afternoon. I thought we were finished when John launched into a long and delightful round of story telling, gossip and rumour about the profession. He was a gentleman and always quick with a 'hello, how are you' when he saw you. He will be missed.

Dearest Bilslands I am so sad for your terrible loss. Though we've seen each other rarely since the boys became adults, I remember the many years you were my son's "other, nicer family". John was deeply admired and appreciated, and will always be remembered by us as an incredibly kind man. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with all of you. Gina Ferri
