Condolences

Dear Heather, I know you were there watching your own celebration of life - I could feel your presence. It was wonderful wasn''t it?! There were many friends and family there that you have established over the years - and I''m sure you were so happy to see everyone all together. It was a very happy service and what made it extra special was your long time friend Phyllis officiating - she knows you well! The stories were so engaging - and many brought back a thrill of excitement when I heard them. I loved the photo presentation; it was a blast from the past and a peek at your life that I didn’t know - when I saw the black and white photo booth picture of us I let out a giggle. I haven’t seen that photo for 40+ years but I recognized it right away, the coat I was wearing and where we were! Londonderry Mall! Probably after we got off work at The Bay - you were in the candy department and me in mens'' shoes. LOL. Many said you were always an earth angel – this I believe to be true! It was said you could have been a fashion model you are so beautiful - inside and out! – This too is true but, I had a big smile on my face when I saw you roll your eyes and blush with embarrassment at all the wonderful things they said. I wanted to tell my own story of you Heather but my voice and my eyes wouldn''t cooperate. I''m sure there were quite a few who wanted to say something but just couldn''t - whether it was fear of public speaking or fear of the tears. I wanted to tell them about our evening with Cheech and Chong, stealing the Christmas tree from the Boy Scouts lot on Christmas Eve because you didn''t have one, getting caught in the Bruin Inn when we were under age . . . only a few of our adventures to mention and to let everyone know that earth angels have a wild side too. I''ll miss you so much my friend, I will miss what could have been but as we said . . . things happen for a reason. I am so truly, truly grateful that we finally reconnected after our hiatus. Your boys (including Bob) will be alright down here. You taught them well and looked after everything before you moved on. Thank you for being in my life and until we meet again ... Enjoy your next adventure! Xoxoxo
